Our path was driven and encouraged by our highly regarded mentor, Noel Coburn, co-founder of the JSE-listed company, Caxton/CTP- an astute businessman and research luminary, but more importantly, a teacher and a scientist at heart.
We both have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge and have been instrumental in bringing many international experts in their fields, to present their insights to our South African industry.
Globally, we benefit from long – standing relationships and associations with many of these respected professionals and organisations in Academia, Marketing and Martech.
EBI is the home of Evidence-based Marketing and voted Number 1 in the world for Brand Management Research.
Caxton remained the only South African member of the institute for two decades. As their front line executives, we were able to develop personal and business relationships with Byron Sharp and many of the other senior researchers.
We hosted one of their Academics in South Africa, every year, for 20 years. Spending quality time with these globally respected Academics, enabled us to develop a deep understanding of their Research findings and Principles for Effective Marketing.

A first for South Africa – We commissioned Lumen to conduct an attention measurement audit on Caxton local media and invited Mike Follett, the founder, to present Lumen’s global findings and our bespoke results ,to the South African industry.
Locally, we have worked closely with many of the country’s senior marketing, advertising, media and retail professionals, including Unilever, Proctor& Gamble, Massmart, PicknPay, Woolworths, The Media Shop, Dentsu, OMD ,amongst others.
